About the app
What is FocusQuest? FocusQuest is a pixel-art productivity RPG for iOS. Each focus session is a quest: pick how long you want to work, choose your biome, and your character journeys across a scrolling landscape while you focus. Finish the quest and you earn XP, gold, and gear.
Who built it? FocusQuest is built by a solo developer in Berlin. There are no analytics, ads, AI processing, or third-party trackers — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
What devices does it work on? FocusQuest is on iOS, available on the App Store.
Is there an Android version? Not currently. There is no committed timeline for an Android port.
Using the app
Do I need internet? You need a connection to sign in, sync your progress, and use social features (friends, group quests). Brief connectivity drops during a quest will not end the session.
What is a “biome”? A biome is the scrolling backdrop your character travels through during a quest. Biomes are cosmetic — pick whichever fits your mood.
Account
How do I sign in? FocusQuest uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate password to manage. If you choose “Hide My Email,” Apple’s relay address is what we receive — you can still email support and replies will route through Apple’s relay back to you.
Why do I need an account? To save your character, sync progress across devices, let friends find you, and keep your subscription tied to you instead of one specific phone.
How do I delete my account? Open Settings → Delete Account → Confirm in the app. Deletion is permanent and immediate. The Support page covers the full deletion details and a fallback email path if the in-app flow is unavailable.
Pro Membership
Is FocusQuest free? Yes. You can download and use FocusQuest without a subscription. Pro Membership is an optional upgrade — there is no free trial, but the core app is free to use indefinitely.
What does Pro Membership include? A monthly stipend of in-app currency, elevated standing within the in-app Adventurer’s Guild, and the additional benefits listed on the in-app subscription screen.
How much does Pro Membership cost? US $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Equivalent prices in your local currency are shown on the in-app subscription screen.
How do I cancel my subscription? Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → FocusQuest and tap Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I get a refund? Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by FocusQuest. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, find the FocusQuest charge, and submit a refund request.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device? Sign in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase. Your subscription is tied to your Apple account and should re-activate automatically. If something looks off, email support and we’ll sort it out.
Privacy & social
What data does FocusQuest collect? The minimum required to run the app: your Sign in with Apple email, your character, your quest history, your friends list, and your subscription status. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no AI processing. Full breakdown in the Privacy Policy.
Can other people see my activity? Friends and group-quest participants see your character, username, and quest activity. Nothing is exposed publicly — there is no global leaderboard or public feed.
How old do I have to be? You must be at least 13 to use FocusQuest. In regions where the digital-consent age is higher (16 in Germany under §8 BDSG, for example), parental consent is required if you are under that age.
